How it works
Drag, preset, download
Draw a rectangle directly on your image — outside the box dims so you can see exactly what stays. Pick a preset like 1:1 or 16:9 to lock the shape while you drag, or leave it on Free for any shape. Dragging inside an existing box moves it.
Full-resolution cuts
The preview is scaled to fit your screen, but the download is cut from the original at full resolution — a 4000-pixel photo gives you a 4000-pixel-wide crop region, not the small preview.
Private by design
Cropping uses local canvas APIs only. Your images never leave your device — see the Privacy Policy for the current disclosures.
FAQ
Questions about cropping images
How do I crop an image to a square?
Choose the 1:1 preset, then drag on the image to draw a square region. Drag inside the box to reposition it before downloading.
What formats can I download the cropped image in?
PNG for lossless quality, or JPG for smaller files. JPG fills transparent areas with white.
Is there a minimum crop size?
Yes — 16×16 pixels. Smaller selections are rejected with a notice.
Is cropping done locally or uploaded?
Entirely locally. The image is drawn to a canvas in your browser and the crop is cut from the full-resolution original.
